Utility Billing/Rate Information
The City of Enumclaw provides natural
gas, water, sewer and garbage services wherever available. Utility billings are
done on a monthly basis. Gas and Water meters
are now being read monthly. Payments may
be mailed, paid in person, or
done online.
The City also has a night drop
located in the parking lot of City Hall.
The City's policy has always been to
give our customers sufficient notice prior to discontinuing service for
non-payment. If payment is not made by the date indicated, the City then mails
a Utility Shut Off Notice (there is a $20.00 service charge for this service).
This letter advises the customer of the actual date of disconnection if payment
is not received.

Utility
Bill FAQs:
1) Why do I have two charges for my water and/or gas
usage? I didn't have this before.
You have always had a water base charge and a water volume charge. In the past,
the City has combined the two and presented it as one charge on your statement.
With the new system, the City is separating the charges out to provide customers
with more useful information.
2) I am on the senior/low income discount plan, but it
does not appear that I received the discount on my statement.
If you have already gone through the application process and have been
approved for the senior/low income discount plan, but your bill does not reflect
this, please call City Hall and we will correct your account.
3) My bill shows an AMP Adjustment. What is this?
AMP stands for Average Monthly Payment plan and replaces the previous budget
payment plan. The AMP plan calculates a 12-month average each month and thus
self-adjusts as your usage patterns change. The system will debit or credit your
reserve account based on this usage so that your:
Actual Usage +/- AMP Adjustment = Average Calculated Usage
On the AMP plan, customers should not have a large
settlement at the end of the year, as was the case in the past.
If you have any questions regarding any
of the above policies or charges, please call the Finance
Department at 360-825-3591, extension 0, or email
utilities@ci.enumclaw.wa.us.
